4 Ways To Stay on Track in 2009
You know what you should be eating and you know you have to be more active than what you are currently doing to drop a few kilos but sometimes its the mind battles that can be the difference between success and failure.
Below are a few tips from online personal trainer Dean Piazza:
* Be Realistic - Aim to lose approx 2-4 kilos per month - This is a realistic amount of weight to lose when you also have a busy work/life schedule. Remember the slower the weight comes off , the slower it goes back on if you have a '' bad month'' so dont let slow weight loss discourage you.
* Expect Challenges Be prepared you may get sick, may get injured or a stressful time at work may slow your training sessions but remember this is a normal for everybody and while it may slow you down by causing you to miss a few weeks it wont stop you ! These are all small tests to see how serious you really are.
* Be Committed Organise a routine that works for you each week and stick to it. People who follow a routine each day are more organised and more likely to succeed .
* Get Help with support and motivation Join a gym and join in the group classes , join an outdoor group that trains in parks , Join a sports team or sign up to a personalised plan from an online trainer - everybody needs guidance, support and motivation. Losing weight or training with a likeminded group will enhance your rate of success by over 90%. You are better off investing in some type of support + advice that keeps you on track rather than rushing out and buying the latest equipment which you may never use .
